[摘 要]: 本文基于局域網(wǎng)環(huán)境，以Windows NT為主，同時(shí)兼顧NetWare、Windows 95/98等操作系統(tǒng)，介紹和分析了常用通信協(xié)議的特點(diǎn)、性能和必要的配置方法。不同的網(wǎng)絡(luò)協(xié)議都有其存在的必要，每一種協(xié)議都有它所主要依賴的操作系統(tǒng)和工作環(huán)境。在一個(gè)網(wǎng)絡(luò)上運(yùn)行得很好的通信協(xié)議，在另一個(gè)看起來(lái)很相似的網(wǎng)絡(luò)上可能完全不適合。因此，組建網(wǎng)絡(luò)時(shí)通信協(xié)議的選擇尤為重要。
如果可能的話最好只選用一種通信協(xié)議，因?yàn)槊恳恢賲f(xié)議都要占用系統(tǒng)的內(nèi)存資源的，會(huì)影響系統(tǒng)的工作效率的，在絕大多數(shù)情況下一種協(xié)議是完全可以滿足連網(wǎng)需求的。
