摘   要

郁達(dá)夫和勞倫斯分別是中英現(xiàn)代文學(xué)史上飽受爭(zhēng)議卻極富才華、很有影響力的作家。勞倫斯的小說(shuō)為其帶來(lái)了國(guó)際聲譽(yù)，其中，《兒子與情人》是勞倫斯的自傳體長(zhǎng)篇小說(shuō)，也是他的成名作。郁達(dá)夫是我國(guó)五四時(shí)期文學(xué)的代表人物，《沉淪》是他早期的代表作之一。通過(guò)對(duì)勞倫斯的《兒子與情人》和郁達(dá)夫的《沉淪》進(jìn)行比較分析，本文指出在形式上，兩部作品都帶有自傳色彩，與作家自己的真實(shí)生活相聯(lián)系，并以此作為小說(shuō)的基本構(gòu)架。在內(nèi)容上，兩位作家不約而同地用不同尋常的方式來(lái)演繹自己被壓抑的情感。兩部小說(shuō)的差異表現(xiàn)在作家對(duì)兩性的描寫(xiě)：《兒子與情人》中的兩性描寫(xiě)是對(duì)資本主義工業(yè)化對(duì)人性摧殘的反抗，而《沉淪》中的兩性描寫(xiě)則是對(duì)傳統(tǒng)道德的本能反抗。

Yu Dafu and David Herbert Lawrence are both the most controversial writers, yet great-talented and most influential ones in the history of modern Chinese and English literature respectively. The novels of Lawrence have brought him international fame. Sons and Lovers is an autobiographical saga novel among Lawrence’s works, which also makes him successful. Yu Dafu is a representative of the May Fourth literature. Sinking is one of his earlier master works. Through the analysis and comparison of Lawrence’ Sons and Lovers and Yu Dafu’s Sinking , this paper points out that in form the two autobiographical works are closely connected with the authors’ real lives, which serves as the framework of the novels and in the content, the authors adopt the unusual approaches to express their repressed sentiments. The difference of the two novels is in the description of sex. Description of sex in Sons and Lovers is meant to fight against the dehumanizing effect of the capitalist industrialization on human nature while description of sex in Sinking is intended to fight against the traditional ethics instinctively.
