摘 要

眾所周知，物資的管理種類繁多，進出頻繁，作為物資管理者，希望能對物資的整個流程狀態(tài)、庫存狀況了如指掌，并為決策管理提供科學(xué)依據(jù)；作為工作人員則希望能夠避免繁瑣的手工操作，甩掉陳舊的手工記賬方式，達到事半功倍的效果。物資管理應(yīng)用軟件不僅使以上的希望都變成了現(xiàn)實，而且能間接減少庫存的無謂積壓，提高企業(yè)的經(jīng)濟效益。
所謂物資管理系統(tǒng)就是通過物資申請計劃、采購、運輸、倉儲、保管、領(lǐng)用等活動，解決物資供需之間存在的時間、空間、數(shù)量、品種、規(guī)格以及價格和質(zhì)量等方面的矛盾，銜接企業(yè)運作中的各個環(huán)節(jié)，確保日常事務(wù)處理的順利進行。物資管理系統(tǒng)是企業(yè)管理中不可缺少的一環(huán)，物資已成為企業(yè)中很重要的一個管理對象，它對企業(yè)的經(jīng)營活動有著直接影響，物資管理水平的高低直接影響著整個企業(yè)的成本。此外，物流和資金流直接相關(guān)，一方面，采購價格決定著采購成本的高低，另一方面，運輸、倉儲、裝卸、庫房管理直接影響著企業(yè)的運營成本。
目前，社會已進入到信息社會， 信息已成為企業(yè)的一個重要資源，向 信息和管理要效益也是大勢所趨，這就要求在物資管理的思想和手段上有一些新的突破，而低水平的管理靠“感覺”和“經(jīng)驗”，高水平的管理靠“數(shù)據(jù)”，電腦是將“定性分析”提高到“定量分析”的最好工具，此外，計算機還具有運算速度快、精度高、存儲出信息容量大、檢索效率高的特性。因而，采用計算機技術(shù)實現(xiàn)物資管理電算化，是提高物資管理水平的很有效的途徑。
