測(cè)繪技術(shù)在空間信息技術(shù)領(lǐng)域應(yīng)當(dāng)扮演什么角色?是必須研究的創(chuàng)新課題。
發(fā)展空間信息技術(shù)離不開(kāi)地理空間信息,沒(méi)有地理空間信息的支撐,發(fā)展空間技術(shù)就會(huì)成為“空對(duì)空”。而地理空間信息是靠“現(xiàn)代測(cè)繪技術(shù)”獲取和建立的?,F(xiàn)代測(cè)繪技術(shù)不公可以建立、提供各種基礎(chǔ)性地理空間信息框架和通用性地理空間信息平臺(tái),基與網(wǎng)格技術(shù)相結(jié)合,還可以使全社會(huì)無(wú)“死角”和利用地理空間信息,實(shí)現(xiàn)實(shí)時(shí)更新各種地理空間信息,達(dá)到建立“數(shù)字區(qū)域”、“數(shù)字國(guó)家”、“數(shù)字地球”、“數(shù)字太空”和虛擬現(xiàn)實(shí)、推動(dòng)空間技術(shù)發(fā)展的目的。數(shù)字正射影像是一種新型數(shù)字測(cè)繪產(chǎn)品,是有著廣闊應(yīng)用前景的基礎(chǔ)地理信息數(shù)據(jù)。
由此可見(jiàn),現(xiàn)代測(cè)繪技術(shù)本身就是學(xué)科交叉的結(jié)果和新興的“邊緣”學(xué)科,在發(fā)展空間信息技術(shù)方面,具有承上啟下的地位和作用。
數(shù)字測(cè)繪工作過(guò)程中,有大量的數(shù)據(jù)處理與轉(zhuǎn)換工作,柵格數(shù)據(jù)到矢量數(shù)據(jù)的轉(zhuǎn)換是其中的一個(gè)主要問(wèn)題,這一問(wèn)題實(shí)際上就是數(shù)字化成圖過(guò)程中的跟蹤矢量化過(guò)程。
