Abstract

Jane Eyre is a representative work of Charlotte Bronte who is an English critical realist writer of the 19th century.It successfully presents the first female character in the history of English literature who takes an independent and positive attitude towards love, life, society and religion and dares to struggle and strive for freedom and equality.This paper is chiefly an analysis of Jane Eyre’s character trait and the equation that human value is equal to dignity plus love.

《簡愛》是19世紀(jì)英國批判現(xiàn)實主義文學(xué)作家夏洛蒂勃朗特的代表作。它成功地塑造了塑造了英國文學(xué)史中第一個對愛情、生活、社會以及宗教都采取了獨立自主的積極進(jìn)取態(tài)度和敢于斗爭、敢于爭取自由平等地位的女性形象。本文主要從簡愛的性格特點以及人的價值=尊嚴(yán)+愛進(jìn)行分析。
