The Analysis of Woman Image in Hardy’s Novel
Abstract: Hardy, one of the greatest novelists in Britain’s history, possessed a subtle sense and an acute insight that he could see through the cockles of women’s heart; and that is why he created so many women that were not only beautiful but also outstanding and brilliant. However, it is his very gentleness, solicitude and partiality towards those women that covered his male chauvinism, which was throughout all the works of his. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to uncover his male chauvinism through the analysis of some of his works.

哈代小說(shuō)中的女性形象分析

摘要：作為英國(guó)文學(xué)史上最著名的小說(shuō)家之一，哈代所具有的詩(shī)人氣質(zhì)讓他能夠敏銳地感受女性靈魂深處細(xì)微的波瀾。他在小說(shuō)中塑造了一系列另人難以忘懷的女性形象，而值得人們關(guān)注的男性形象卻寥寥無(wú)幾。在一群生機(jī)勃勃、美麗動(dòng)人的女子面前，他們似乎太蒼白了。從這里我們不難看出哈代對(duì)女性的偏愛(ài)和對(duì)她們特有的關(guān)懷和寬容。 但正是他對(duì)女性的偏愛(ài)和對(duì)她們特有的關(guān)懷和寬容掩蓋了他根深蒂固的大男子主義思想。因此，本文旨在通過(guò)對(duì)哈代一部分小說(shuō)的分析來(lái)發(fā)現(xiàn)其中所隱藏著的大男子主義。
