ABSTRACT

With unique configuration characteristic, dual clutch transmission (DCT) overcomes the shortcoming of power interruption when shifting in traditional AMT, which results in good power performance, fuel economy and driving comfort, and recently it becomes a new development trend in the field of transmission. Dual clutch transmission derives from manual transmission. Its working principle is that the odd gears and the even gears are arranged separately and both are connected with two clutches respectively, gear shifting is realized through alternation of the two clutches, then gear shifting in power is realized. The advantages of AMT and the advantage of gear shifting in power of AT are integrated on it. It has extremely good quality of gear shifting and excellent power performance and fuel economy, and it is suitable to apply in China where manual transmission are in the dominant position.
Focused on the DCT alteration of CV11 vehicle, the following researches have been carried out in this paper:
1. Through analyzing configuration principle and power transmission mechanism, contrasting the characteristic of dry and wet DCT and basing on the transmission parameters of CV11, the configuration of the paper?ˉs research object, dry DCT is fixed.
2. Economy and power shift strategies with two parameters of CV11 vehicle has been designed. Set up simulation model for DCT shift process. The results dedicate that the DCT is able to accomplish the requirement for economy and power shift.
3. The startup strategy is made by the intention of drivers and impact, including calculating the aimed engine speed, the throttle plate angel, varied rate of the throttle plate angel, the engagement speed of clutch, the aimed engagement quantity of clutch, the half-engagement point, and designing the fuzzy controllers of clutch and engine operations. The simulation of the strategy is finished by the SIMULINK toolbox of MATLAB. The result of simulation is satisfied.
