培訓是指為使新老員工獲得完成工作所需的技能而采用的方法。培訓可能是讓新的網(wǎng)站設計員了解他們所在職位工作的復雜性，告訴新的銷售員怎樣銷售他們公司的產品，也有可能是一位新的主管怎樣招聘和評估他的員工。培訓是良好管理的特點之一，如果經(jīng)理忽視了培訓，后果堪憂。擁有潛力很大的員工并不能保證他們一定會成功。事實上，他們必須知道你想讓他們做什么以及怎樣去做。如果他們不知道這些，他們就會按照他們自己的方式而不是你的方式工作。他們可能會毫無準備的做事，也有可能更糟，做事根本沒有任何的效率。所以，好的培訓至關重要。

Training refers to the methods used to give new or present employees the skills they need to perform their jobs. Training might mean showing a new Web designer the intricacies of your site, a new salesperson how to sale your firm’s product, or a new supervisor how to interview and eva luate employees. Training is a hallmark of good management, and a task manager overlook at their peril. Having high-potential employees doesn’t guarantee they’ll succeed. Instead, they have to know what you want them to do and how you want them to do it. If they don’t, they’ll do the jobs their way, not yours. Or they will improvise, or, worse, do nothing productive at all. Good training is vital.
