漢英疊詞對(duì)比研究及其翻譯

摘 要

重疊是一種常見(jiàn)的語(yǔ)言現(xiàn)象,存在于世界上許多語(yǔ)言中，但就其表現(xiàn)形式而言,在不同的語(yǔ)言之間又存在著很大的差異。就英漢比較而言,漢語(yǔ)重疊類(lèi)型多,表義豐富,充分體現(xiàn)了漢語(yǔ)的靈活多樣性,是一種常見(jiàn)的修辭手段,體現(xiàn)語(yǔ)言的韻律美、意象美和表達(dá)美。在英語(yǔ)中或多或少的存在重疊現(xiàn)象,但遠(yuǎn)不如漢語(yǔ)那樣普遍。究其原因,主要是因?yàn)闈h語(yǔ)大多是單音節(jié)詞，易于重疊，而英語(yǔ)大多是多音節(jié)詞,不易重疊。文中首先就漢語(yǔ)和英語(yǔ)中重疊的形式，功能以及應(yīng)用的范圍進(jìn)行了對(duì)比分析，其中討論了它們的共性，但主要是著眼于它們之間的差異性。在對(duì)比分析的基礎(chǔ)上探討疊詞的翻譯，列舉了用英語(yǔ)中的不同的形式進(jìn)行翻譯的十種方法。最后，針對(duì)疊詞的功能意義在翻譯中的丟失問(wèn)題討論了疊詞的不可譯性。

ABSTRACT

Reduplication is a common language phenomenon, which exists in many a language. However, it varies a lot both in forms and functions from language to language. Compared with that in English, reduplication is used with a much higher frequency in Chinese, with a wider variety of forms and rhetorical effects, such as form beauty, sound beauty, and sense beauty. This is because Chinese words are monosyllabic and easy to duplicate, while English words are mostly multisyllabic words and difficult to duplicate. This paper first makes a contrastive study of reduplication between Chinese and English, including their forms, functions and scopes of application. While offering a brief discussion on their similarities, the author focuses on their dissimilarities. Then the author proceeds to investigate into the translation of reduplication, listing out ten.....
